Your First Appointment

General Dentistry at Friedman Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in Westfield, IN

Your initial appointment is the first step in your smile journey! We will introduce you to our team and show you around. Then, we provide you with an oral exam and consultation. You’ll receive a cleaning and digital x-rays to diagnose any developing issues such as decay. Then, Dr. Friedman will recommend a treatment plan for you based on your unique smile. This appointment is also a great time to discuss any cosmetic treatments you might be considering.

We take the time to explain your dental condition to you and why any recommended treatment will be of benefit. We are happy to address any questions and concerns you may have. Our treatment coordinator will discuss with you a written plan itemizing each procedure, fees, and what we estimate your insurance will cover. She can also talk to you about your financial options. Then, it’s up to you whether or not you decide to undergo treatment. We provide you with the information necessary to make a choice that is right for you!

Dental Emergencies

If you have a dental emergency, such as extreme tooth pain or a knocked-out tooth, please give us a call at 317-867-0757 as soon as possible. If the emergency occurs after hours, our voicemail will provide you with instructions as to how you can get in contact with Dr. Friedman.

Office Technology

We believe great dental care isn’t possible without using the best and latest technology. The dental field is constantly evolving, and we always stay at the forefront of the industry! We use digital x-rays and intraoral cameras so we can get a crystal-clear view of the inside of your smile, even those areas that are hard to see during a visual exam. We also offer digital satellite television to help you feel at ease during your dental treatments!

We like to get to know a little bit about our patients before beginning treatment! That’s why we ask you to fill out a few forms before your first appointment. Understanding your dental and medical history allows us to provide you with the best possible care.

You can download, print, and fill out the forms below. Or, if you choose to fill them out at the office, just be sure to arrive 15 minutes early so we can start your appointment on time.

Insurance & Financial Information

Our office accepts most insurance plans, and we are happy to submit claims as a courtesy to you! We work with you to ensure you are receiving your maximum insurance benefits as determined by your plan. Please be sure to bring your insurance card with you to every visit. If you have a PPO or HMO policy, or if you are unsure as to if our office is in-network with your insurance provider, please give us a call, and we will be happy to assist you.

Dental insurance may not cover all of your dental care. You may have to pay a deductible or copay. For any costs not covered by insurance, we accept a variety of payment options, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, cash, check, and debit. We request payment at the time services are rendered, unless you have made arrangements with our office staff prior to your appointment. We also accept third-party financing through CareCredit. Our office manager will be happy to discuss your options with you!
