Teeth Whitening

Is your smile not as white as you would like it to be? Switching to a whitening toothpaste isn’t always enough to combat discoloration. Even healthy teeth can be subject to yellowing. Drinking coffee, teas, colas, and red wines; smoking; aging; certain medications; exposure to excessive fluoride; and other factors can all contribute to a dulled smile.

If you would like a whiter smile, schedule a consultation! Dr. Friedman will examine your smile to determine the culprits behind the discoloration and discuss your options with you. Patients with healthy teeth and gums may be good candidates for our at-home teeth whitening treatment. We provide you with custom whitening trays based on impressions we will take of your smile. We also give you whitening gel to fill the trays, as well as instructions as to how to properly perform the treatment. Some patients notice results within just a few days!

If teeth whitening is not right for you, we will discuss other options for effectively improving the appearance of your smile.

Veneers

Veneers are a treatment option that can improve the appearance of smiles affected by all kinds of imperfections, such as discoloration, crookedness, chips, gaps, or cracks. A veneer is a thin yet durable shell made of porcelain or resin that is bonded to the front of an existing tooth. It is custom-created to achieve the look you desire and to blend in seamlessly with your smile.

Veneers take two appointments. At the first visit, Dr. Friedman will take impressions of your teeth to help us create your customized veneers. In the meantime, he removes a small amount of existing tooth structure and provides you with temporary veneers.

At the second appointment, Dr. Friedman will place your permanent veneers and ensure they are the right color, size, and shape. Using a high-intensity light and bonding cement, he permanently adheres the veneers to your existing teeth. The result should be comfortable and naturally beautiful—we will make any adjustments needed!

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a relatively conservative and inexpensive treatment option for minor imperfections such as chips, gaps, and discolorations. We bond a tooth-colored resin material to your existing teeth to disguise or fill in any cosmetic issues. Dr. Friedman will work with you to determine if bonding is best for your unique situation!

Invisalign

Do you have a misaligned smile that you want to fix? Are you hesitant about braces? Invisalign® may be right for you. The Invisalign system consists of clear aligners that are virtually invisible in the smile and can correct several orthodontic issues, including crowding, excessive spacing, crossbites, overbites, and underbites. You can remove the aligners to eat, drink, brush, and floss your teeth. Plus, because there are no wires, you don’t have to worry about irritating your gums, as braces tend to do.

The Invisalign process begins with Dr. Friedman taking impressions of your smile, which will then be used to create your series of customized aligners. You will wear each set of aligners for about two weeks before moving on to the next set. The aligners will gradually shift your teeth into the correct position. Treatment time depends on your unique situation.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Having a cavity used to mean that you would need an unsightly, conspicuous silver filling. Not anymore! Our practice uses tooth-colored fillings that help preserve more of your remaining tooth structure while maintaining the appearance of your smile. These fillings are virtually undetectable.
